On behalf of the Lincoln Area Families with Multiples (LAFM), we wish to welcome you to the club. All new members and returning members should make sure they fill out an online application with updated information. You can find it at http://www.lincolnmultiples.org. If your multiples have not yet arrived, please be sure to email the new births chairperson at email@example.com when they do arrive. Our members and officers can then get your meal train activated, get your new birth information into our monthly newsletter, and provide you any support you may need. As you will find, joining our club is a great way to network with other parents of multiples and we hope you take part in the many events the club has to offer as well as utilize our Google Group message board.
LAFM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. One of the goals of our club is “to support expectant, new and experienced mothers and fathers of multiples through education, resource, networking, and fellowship.” Besides our meal program and newsletter, we offer many other ways to social and provide support. Newsletters will be emailed monthly to the email provided on your application.
We are always are looking for new ways to raise money for the club. If you have an idea for a fundraiser, please email our coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can discuss at the next officers meeting.
We invite you to take a look at the LAFM website at www.lincolnmultiples.org. There is a password protected area for members only. You will find it under “members” at the top of the page. The password is s3quence. These passwords change every fall. The website is packed with information. Some things that can be found is the yearly roster, and LAFM handbook. We would like to encourage you to use this information for support and understanding of the club. There is also a monthly calendar of events. Look for our events on Facebook also. Some of our past events include our annual Christmas/Holiday party, Father’s Day Salt Dogs Game, Annual Summer Picnic, Apple Picking at Martin’s Hillside Orchard, Bonfire at Roca Pumpkin Patch, Free Admission to Lost in Fun, Parent’s Night Out, and many more.
We have a group that meets at Bryan East Hospital Conference room every 1st Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. Parents may bring children under 18 months of age. These meetings are usually tailored for a specific topic of interest for parents of multiples. Let us know if there is a certain topic you would like to address.
Finally, we would like to encourage you to ask questions by sending an email to email@example.com. If you send an email to this group, it will be sent to each members email inbox, giving them a chance to respond. All questions are welcomed. All of the members can offer some support or be a sounding board to new families.
